Lincoln Woman Arrested After Assaulting Ex-Boyfriend, Vandalizing Car

A Lincoln woman is facing several charges after she assaulted her ex-boyfriend and vandalized his car.

Police say it happened around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Fazoli's near 46th and Vine.

Captain Jason Stille says 31-year-old Darlene Mason was vandalizing her ex-boyfriend's car in the parking lot when she was confronted by him.

Stille says that's when Mason began hitting the victim.

Mason left before police arrived, but they caught up to her near 28th and St. Paul.

Stille says Mason fled from police, but later turned herself in.

She's facing a several of charges including 3rd degree domestic assault, fleeing to avoid arrest, use of a weapon to commit a felony, criminal mischief and willful reckless driving.

According to court documents, Mason filed a protection order because of domestic abuse against her ex-boyfriend on September 26, 2011 but dismissed the order on October 3, 2011.
