Police arrested 30-year-old Shawn Whitehorse for burglary Thursday.
According to Lincoln Police, the 20-year-old victim came home to her apartment in the 100 block of South 18th Street just after 2:30 a.m. Thursday. She found belongings out of place and scattered all over her home.
Then, when she went to her bedroom, police say she found Whitehorse, asleep in her bed. She screamed at him to get out, but police say he just laughed at her. She then went next door to call police.
When officers arrived, Whitehorse was still in the woman's bed. They took him into custody for burglary. The woman's laptop, jewelry and change from a jar were missing.
At the jail, police say officers found Whitehorse wearing two necklaces, pajama bottoms and had a bottle of perfume that all belonged to the victim.
Whitehorse has a long history of trespassing in Lincoln. This is the second time he has been arrested after trespassing at that apartment.
