Lincoln Police say a 20-year-old man was arrested Monday on a felony charge of leaving the scene of an injury accident early Sunday morning.

Police say John Marsh was driving a yellow 2001 Ford Mustang when he crashed into a tree on 34th and Madison.

Police say they received a call of an unoccupied vehicle with a significant amount of blood found inside the vehicle.

A half-hour later police discovered a 22-year-old male and 19-year-old female being treated at Bryan West for injuries.

The two first claimed to have fallen down stairs, but later admitted to being passengers in the vehicle. The male suffered a broken leg, and the female was treated for cuts to her face.

Police say Marsh called his girlfriend to pick them up after the accident happened.

Police say there were also two dogs in the vehicle, one died and the other was treated for a broken leg.
