Police were called to the 1600 block of North 31st Street when a man found his roommate unconscious after a break-in and beat down.
LPD says the 22-year-old claimed two black men had attacked him on the porch of his home.
He told police the men smacked the him on the head with a hand gun.
According to police, the man told them the suspects had broken into his house before and stole his roommates PlayStation 3.
Police say the the man made the story up.
They say he actually pawned his roommates PlayStation 3 and was not attacked.
He was ticketed for theft.
