Lincoln Fire and Rescue is trying to determine what caused a garage fire early Tuesday morning.

Acting Battalion Chief Tim Linke said the fire started around 3:15 a.m. at 441 South 38th Street. He says when crews arrived there was heavy smoke and fire coming from a garage.

Linke said initial reports were that there were several propane tanks in the garage, but crews were able to put the fire out quickly.

Linke said crews were able to keep the fire from spreading to the house.

Linke said the homeowner may have some smoke inhalation, and non-life threatening injuries.

Linke said the cause is under investigation.
