Fairbury Police arrest a 51-year-old Lincoln man after they say he started throwing knives at his wife.
Authorities say just after midnight, Sunday, Fairbury Police were dispatched to the 800 Block 'C' Street in Fairbury.
When officers arrived they spoke with the a woman who said her estranged husband, Randall A. Moore, showed up at her home, intoxicated and began making threats while holding a long jagged knife.
Officers were told that while Moore was making the threats, he was displaying the knife and encouraged the victim to contact police.
The victim told police that when Moore got into the house, he began throwing knives at her.
The victim grabbed the knives and threw them into the bushes outside so that Moore could not get to them again.
The victim told officers that Randall Moore then went into a bedroom and layed on the bed. That's when she was able to leave to get help.
Officers found Moore lying with 2 large knives. Officers were able to take Randall Moore into custody without incident.
Officers recovered the knives from outside the residence.
During the investigation, officers learned that Randall Moore was a Nebraska Convicted Felon and is not to be in possession of any knives having a length of 3 ½ inches or more.
The knives that were recovered exceeded 3 ½ inches.
Randall Moore was then transported to the Jefferson County Jail where he was booked on the following charges: Alleged Terroristic Threats (Class 4 Felony), Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony (Class 3 Felony), Use of a Deadly Weapon to Commit a Felony (Class 2 Felony), Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Prohibited Person (Class 3 Felony), and 3rd Degree Domestic Assault (Class 1 Misdemeanor).
Randall Moore is currently being held without bond.
The investigation is still ongoing.
