Lincoln Police are looking for four men they said forced their way into an apartment and assaulted a man while robbing him.
According to Officer Katie Flood, at about 12:40 A.M, Monday, a 53-year-old man heard knocking at his door at 4216 F street, apartment #1.
When the victim answered the door, Flood said 4 black men forced their way in. She said one asked for Joe, who was not home at the time.
Flood said another suspect displayed a silver, semi-automatic handgun and force the man to the ground. She said the suspects then kicked the victim in the ribs several times.
Flood said the men ransacked the apartment and left with $3,675 in electronics, including three TVs, two laptops and two Playstation 3s.
Flood said a neighbor saw a four door car leave the area at a high rate of speed.
A short time later, Flood said an officer spotted the car near 27th and Randolph and followed it. She said the car turned into an ally, where three men got out and fled.
A K-9 track and helicopter search for the men was unsuccessful.
Flood said none of the stolen items were found in the abandoned car.
Police do not know if two cars were used in the robbery or if the abandoned car is to the case.
