KEARNEY, Neb. -- A traffic stop on Interstate 80 in Buffalo County led to the seizure of 60 lbs. of marijuana and one arrest.
Around 6:30 p.m., Thursday, May 29, a Nebraska State Patrol trooper stopped an eastbound 2013 Volkswagen Passat about three miles east of the Kearney exit on I-80 for following too close.
A Police Service Dog indicated the odor of drugs coming from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle led to the seizure of approximately 60 lbs. of marijuana located in the trunk.
The driver of the vehicle, David H. Esty III, 31, of Surry, Maine, was lodged in the Buffalo County Jail on a charge of Possession with Intent to Deliver.
