Nebraska State Troopers arrest a man with warrants after he ran from a pickup truck, leaving his passenger behind.

Just after 4:00 Monday morning, a trooper stopped a suspicious pickup truck near 14th and Morton Road.

According to officials at the scene, the driver, 30-year-old Eric Nicholson, took off on foot leaving a female passenger behind.

Officials said Nicholson was known to have weapons and it was a big concern that he may have had them when he ran off.

NSP and Lincoln Police began searching for Nicholson. With the help of Jake, a Lincoln Police dog, police found Nicholson about two blocks away near some trailers.

NSP said Nicholson was taken into custody without incident and no weapons were found.

Troopers say Nicholson had warrants out of Seward and Johnson Counties.
