A Lincoln man is in custody after a domestic argument turns scary for bystanders trying to help.
Captain Joseph Wright says around 9:30 a.m. Friday, an argument erupted between a man and a woman in a parking lot near 49th and Superior streets.
Police say employees in a near by store tried to help, but the man involved pulled a gun them.
Police later learned the gun was a BB pistol.
A local Game and Parks officer tried to apprehend the man, but the suspect then turned on him.
"At that time the suspect pulled a knife out of his waistband and threatened the officer with that. The officer continued to pursue that man down into the area of 49th and Cornhusker. That's when our officers came into the area and we located a 27-year-old Lincoln resident.
Police say the man is facing several charges including assaulting an officer, possession of meth and charges related to the domestic incident.
