Two Men Arrested for Stepping in Street, Pointing Gun at Woman

Lincoln Police have arrested two Lincoln men after pulling a gun on a woman as she was driving.

Police arrested 18-year-old Lakota Leach for aiding and abetting and a15-year-old, who will be referred to the County Attorney.

Police say just before 10 p.m. Monday, the 15-year-old stepped in front of the woman's car and pointed a gun at her as she was driving near 29th and O streets. The juvenile then demanded she get out of the car. The woman quickly sped away, but was able to give a description of the man and a man inside a silver Chevy Malibu nearby.

Officers later returned to find the car still parked and the men walking in an alley, matching the woman's description.

Police arrested Leach and the 15-year-old, and also found the gun in the juvenile's pants.

He will be referred to the County Attorney for attempted robbery, use of a weapon to commit a felony and carrying a concealed weapon.
