LINCOLN, Neb.-- Lincoln Police have arrested one man in connection to burglaries in the Bethany neighborhood.

Officers arrested 26-year-old Markus Lopez Sunday for two counts of burglary.

LPD developed Lopez as a suspect after a burglary at Cook's Cafe in September 2013. Officers said they found a luggage tag with his name on it and confronted Lopez.

Police did not have enough evidence to arrest him at that time.

Over the weekend, police confronted Lopez at his home near 66th and Y Streets. Officers were given consent to search the home, where they found a laptop, scuba accessories and a clock from Cook's Cafe.

Lopez is facing charges for the July 29 burglary of Cook's Café and the July 31 burglary of Heartland Scuba Center.

Police are investigating Lopez as a suspect in several other burglaries including Ming's House, A-1 Linoleum & Carpet Co. and Salon Monet that were hit on July 29.
