Man Arrested for Trying to Strangle Girlfriend

A Grand Island man is behind bars for trying to strangle his girlfriend.
Grand Island Police said 24-year-old David Matson was arrested on November 21, 2012, for using a weapon to commit a felony, strangulation, third-degree domestic assault, and two counts of making terroristic threats.
Authorities said Matson tried to strangle his estranged girlfriend and used a weapon to threaten her friend.
