Lincoln Police says it never pays to run from them after catching a man who ran from a traffic stop.
Just after midnight Friday morning, an officer made a traffic stop near 57th and Adams Street. After the driver gave the officer his name, the man ran off.
The officer caught the man behind a house one block away.
20-year-old Edward Yohe was arrested and booked into the County Jail for resisting arrest and driving under suspension. Yohe was cited for the reason for the traffic stop, failing to use a turn signal. Other citations include criminal mischief for damage done to a fence while running from the officer, obstruction of a peace officer and giving false information.
Officers at the scene said this is not the first Yohe has given officers another name.
