Police say a Lincoln man was slashed several times during an attempted robbery.
Officer Katie Flood said the attack happened around 11pm Thursday night.
A man was outside his home smoking near 20th and Holdrege when two other men approached.
They asked the victim if he had any marijuana. When he said no they demanded money instead.
The three men struggled for a short time as the suspects tried to reach into the victim's pockets. Eventually the suspects ran away without getting anything.
Officer Flood said that's when the victim realized he was bleeding. He had been cut several times across his body. He told police he didn't remember seeing a knife but he was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The suspects are described as two skinny black men in their late 20's. If you have any information you can call Crimestoppers at 475-3600.
