One man is dead after losing control of his motorcycle in Murdock Friday afternoon.
Cass County Sheriff's Office responded to a belated fatality motorcycle call at the intersection of Highway 1 and Bluff Road around 3:38 p.m. Friday afternoon.
John M. Thompson, 36, was on his 2005 Yamaha motorcycle heading west on Highway 1 when he lost control on a turn before approaching a bean field near the intersection of Bluff Road.
Thompson was last seen leaving Murdock around 2:00 a.m. Friday morning. Friends and family members didn't hear from the motorcyclist and began searching for Thompson and found his body and the wreckage in the bean field.
