Man Facing Charges for Juniata Machete Assault

The Adams County Sheriff's Office arrested a man Monday morning after they say he stabbed another man with a machete.

It happened at about 4 p.m. Sunday at 210 East 10th Street in Juniata.

Officials say an argument turned physical, involving a baseball bat and a machete.

Deputies say the victim was taken to Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital in Hastings with multiple cuts. They say Roberto Maza-Surbiadur fled the scene.

Maza-Surbiadur was arrested early Monday morning for second degree assault.

He is expected in Adam County Court Monday afternoon.
