Man Falls Asleep at Wheel, Crashes into Ditch

A man is expected to recover after falling asleep at the wheel and crashing his car into a ditch along Interstate 80.
Nebraska State Patrol says it happened around 4:00 Monday afternoon near Ashland.
The driver was conscious and alert when he was flown out by helicopter to Creighton Medical Center.
Eastbound traffic was shut down for about 30 minutes.
