Robbed at gunpoint, northwest Lincoln convenience store clerk gives suspect cash.
Just before 10:30 a.m. Sunday Lincoln Police responded to a reported robbery at the Casey's General Store at NW 6th & W. Cornhusker.
One source says two men entered the store with what appeared to be a gun and demanded cash. The clerk, who recently moved to Lincoln from Florida did not think it was a real gun, but rather than take a chance, gave the men the cash before he left the store.
Lincoln Police Sergeant Terrance Vernon said, the second man had a backpack and the cash was placed there before the men left on foot.
The two suspects are described as being in their 20's both about 5'4 to 5'5" tall. The man with the gun was wearing a gray sweat shirt, gray sweats and a dark hoodie type coat. He was also wearing red and white Converse shoes.
The man with the backpack was wearing all black with a gray scarf covering his head and face.
Anyone with information is asked to call Lincoln Crimestoppers at 402-475-3600.
