A Waverly man is in custody after crashing his car then fighting with rescuers.

Around 3:30 Saturday morning, crews were sent to 27th and Waverly Road for a single vehicle accident after a passerby called 911.

A Lancaster County Deputy arrived just minutes before responders from Raymond Rural Fire Department.

The driver of the car fought with the Deputy and members of the fire department had to help contain the man until he could be taken into custody.

According to Sheriff's Sergeant Derek Horalek, 21-year-old Jon Griebe of Waverly, was arrested for resisting arrest and DUI.
