Update: Man in Serious Condition Following Downtown Assault

One man is in serious condition after a fight in downtown Lincoln.

Just before 2 a.m. Sunday, Lincoln Police were waved down near Centennial Mall and N Streets. When they stopped, they found a man unconscious in the street.

Police at the scene said several witnesses reported three men arguing when the victim was struck several times and kneed in the face. It is believed he hit his head on the pavement when he fell. The suspects then left on foot.

Police grabbed the suspects within a couple blocks of the incident, taking them both into custody. Several witnesses positively identified the pair as the ones involved in the argument.

The victim was transported to the hospital in serious condition.

The suspects have been identified as 23-year-old Evan Domingo and 25-year-old Conor McGhehey.
