
Meet & Shriek At The Zoo
Lincoln Children's Zoo will be hosting Meet & Shriek on Saturday, Oct. 6 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This pre-Halloween event is a not-so-spooky celebration where children are encouraged to dress up in costume and take part in activities throughout the zoo.
Children will receive special prizes for completing the different activities. This popular event is free for zoo members and regular admission applies for all other guests.
Visitors at Meet & Shriek will also have the opportunity to purchase advanced tickets to the zoo's annual trick-or-treat event, Boo at the Zoo.
Advanced tickets can be purchased at the zoo gift shop during the event. Tickets are also available by visiting the zoo's website, LincolnZoo.org.

Senior Mondays
Sept. 17 - Oct. 8 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Every Monday from Sept. 17 - Oct. 8 enjoy discounts and fun activities to celebrate Lincoln's senior citizens. Free admission to seniors 62+.
Animal Food Drive Begins
Oct. 1 - 20
Donate food items to help the Zoo feed more than 300 animals during the winter season.
Examples of food items needed: Kool-aid, tea, honey, jellies, canned peas, syrup, graham crackers, nuts, sunflower seeds, dried fruits, frozen fruits/vegetables, froze fruit (less than one year old), trail mix
Examples of non-food items needed: Dish soap, paper towels, sponges
Sensory Safari hosted at the Zoo
Wednesday, Oct. 3
This is a special day for anyone with visual impairments. Guests will have the opportunity to touch, feel, hear, and smell at interpretative stations located throughout the Zoo. To register contact Aimee Johns at ajohns@lincolnzoo.org.
Sensory Safari is a joint event with Nebraska Game & Parks, Morrill Hall Natural History Museum, Nebraska State Historical Society, Nebraska Natural Resource Districts and Nebraska Center for the Education Children who are Blind or Visually Impaired.

Boo at the Zoo

Lincoln's biggest trick-or-treat party is the Zoo. The entire family will love stopping at over 40 trick-or-treat booths to get candy, coupons, and more. All of the money raised during Boo at the Zoo directly supports the Zoo.
