Lincoln, NE-- For months, the city looked forward to the grand opening of Marshalls and Homegoods. On Thursday morning, they finally opened their doors.
The Wilderness Hill shopping complex on 27th and Yankee Hill saw many cars and people rolling in and out of their parking lot. The two businesses, Tanners Bar & Grill and Woods Bros Realty said their stores were busy.
“I knew it would bring in more people,” said General Manager of Tanners, Mark Pogge.
To take advantage of the event, Woods Bros Realty had an open house. Their flyer said, “Let us find a home for your goods!” During their event, a real estate agent said they’ve never seen the parking lots so full.
And for those who earn their living at the complex, “It’s going to be a hopping part of Lincoln,” said Pogge.
