A memorial fund has been set up for the families of two people killed after an animal feed processing plant collapsed in Omaha.
A public relations firm for International Nutrition said Thursday that the fund will help the families of 47-year-old David Ball and 53-year-old Keith Everett, both of Omaha. Donations can be made at any Wells Fargo bank.
Ball and Everett were two of 38 workers in and around the plant when the accident occurred Monday. Many managed to escape, but Ball and Everett were trapped in the rubble. Ten other workers were taken to hospitals.
Federal safety investigators are still looking into what caused the collapse at the plant, which makes nutritional products that are added to livestock and poultry feed.
