In case you somehow forgot Tuesday is election day, students at Goodrich Middle School worked hard to remind you.

Several of the 7th grade social studies classes made posters and lined superior street, urging voters to cast their ballots.

Their teachers say even though these kids can't vote, that doesn't mean they can't be part of the political process.

"More than anything else, I'm glad that they're taking an educated stance on this. They're not just going out there and saying, 'I'm just voting for so and so because they're cool or anything like that.' They want to know what the issues are," said Trevor Shalon, a 7th grade teacher at Goodrich.

Some of the kids were partisan, holding signs supporting Obama or Romney.

The issues they were most concerned about included tax rates, gay marriage and illegal immigration.
