You could call it a mini trip because it is but it's also a long one.
An 11 day journey that took a rest stop in Lincoln.
Over 200 Mini Cooper drivers are going from New York to Los Angeles. It's a four thousand mile trip to raise money for the U.S. Paralympic Team.
They are looking to raise a million dollars. Michael Johnston runs the triathlon for the team. He lost his leg in a Navy accident. From that moment on he moved forward with a positive attitude.
"For me there was no choice. Only moving forward. There is no stopping, there is no going home, you set goals ahead of you and you move towards them," said Johnston
Dennis Solo brought his son. "He's turning thirty and he said it was on his bucket list to drive across the country," said Solo
They are two of over 100 people who will make the entire trip. Nearly 500 will do parts of it and autograph the lead Cooper.
Wednesday's trek for this pack of Coopers is Lincoln to Boulder, Colorado.
In three days it all ends in Los Angeles.
