Fire crews say a mobile home is a complete loss after a fire Thursday morning.
Fire officials say they were called to the home at 157 Parkwood Drive in Grand Island around 9:00 a.m. because neighbors could see heavy smoke billowing from the structure.
Crews were able to get the fire out within 15 minutes but said the flames were from the floor to the ceiling near the back of the home. There was a concern initially that someone may have been inside, but crews were able to confirm that the family that lived there was safe.
No one was injured in the fire, but officials believe the home is a total loss. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Grand Island Police are assisting in the investigation based on the criminal history of the homeowners, but fire officials do not believe the fire is suspicious.
