Lincoln firefighters responded to a mobile home fire at 1030 N 48th Street Thursday afternoon. The mobile home park is just east of 48th Street and north of the Mopac Trail.

According to Lincoln Fire and Rescue, a woman was home when fire started around 1 p.m. A postal worker who was in the area saw the mobile home on fire, called 911 and made sure the woman got out safely.

When firefighters arrived, the mobile home was engulfed in flames.

Heavy smoke made the fire hard to get under control. The cause is still under investigation.
