A moment of silence was observed for the innocent victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting on Friday morning.

Honoring the victims and pausing to reflect nationwide came as a request by Connecticut Governor Daniel Malloy.

Gov. Malloy has asked that facilities with bells ring them twenty-six times in remembrance of each life taken.

First Plymouth Church in Lincoln was among the buildings with bells that rang to honor each life lost one week ago.
