Changes could be on the way for NSAA State Championship Basketball.
NSAA officials will soon have to decide where to play their games come next year; with the opening of a brand new arena in the Haymarket, the uncertain future of the Pershing Center, and the changes taking place at the Devaney, that could mean some interesting choices.
Also, officials are considering possibly expanding the tournament, now three days, one day longer, making it a four day tournament.
In a few weeks, bidding will begin, which will allow cities to pitch their tournament proposals. But with the arrival of the new Pinnacle Bank Arena, it's hard to imagine the championship being held elsewhere other than Lincoln, where it's been played for years.
Officials say they hope to finalize their plans in the coming weeks.
