NU Volleyball Plays Last Game in Coliseum

A rich tradition will be coming to a close.

Friday, fans will pack the University of Nebraska's Coliseum one last time.

For years, the Nebraska Volleyball team has played in the coliseum.

The match againt Northern Iowa is their last game before moving to the Bob Devaney Sports Center next season.

The arena opened in 1926 for the basketball team; the first game was a loss to Kansas.

The basketball team played in the arena until 1976.

Since then, more than 4,000 fans cheer the Huskers on to victory each season.

Coming up at 10, we'll hear from fans on how the coliseum shaped Nebraska Volleyball.
