More than 90,000 people have attended the Nebraska State Fair during its first three days at Fonner Park in Grand Island.
The 94,776 who attended that fair from Friday through Sunday is similar to the 2011 attendance figure.
Around 330,000 people attended the fair last year, its second since moving from Lincoln to Grand Island.
State fair board chairwoman Jana Kruger noted Tuesday that surveys of fairgoers so far this year show that 79 percent attended the event last year.
She says that's encouraging because it indicates that if fair promoters can entice people to come to Grand Island, they likely will return.
The 11-day fair ends on Labor Day.
