The Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) continues to investigate the Saturday, October 29, death of a Wausa woman.
Around 11:15 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 29, NSP Troop B- Norfolk, responded to a call of a female struck by a pickup at a residence in Knox County.
Preliminary investigation indicates Nicole Key, 36, Wausa, had been run over by a Dodge Ram pickup driven by a 45-year old male driver.
Key and the male driver of the pickup had been together earlier in the evening at a local bar.
She was struck by the pickup after an altercation between the two parties outside of her home at 104 Sherman Street, Wausa.
Key sustained head injuries and was transported to the hospital in Osmond, where she was pronounced dead.
The name of the male driver involved in the incident has not been released.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor.
The Nebraska State Patrol was assisted by the Wausa Police Department and the Wausa Volunteer Rescue Squad.
