One Person Injured in Crash with Farm Machinery

Arthur Huber,83, Of Creighton Nebraska was taken to Bryan West after a crash with farm machinery. He is listed in intensive care.

The crash happened just before 5 p.m. Tuesday south of Valparaiso at Highway 79 and A Street.

According to the Saunders County Sheriff Kevin Stukenholtz, a pickup hauling a farm planter driven by Roger Coufal of North Bend was traveling northbound on Highway 79 while another pickup truck driven by Huber was traveling southbound.

Huber reportedly struck the wing of one of the planter arms. Stukenholtz said Huber was pinned inside the car until emergency crews arrived. He was conscious, but taken to Bryan Health West Campus by ambulance with serious injuries.
