Police arrested one a teenager minutes after a convenience store robbery,
About 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Lincoln Police were called to the U-Stop store at 13th & South Streets for an armed robbery.
According to Captain Don Scheinost, four men walked into the store and demanded cash. One was armed with a handgun. The foursome left on foot, with an undisclosed amount of cash, some beer and cigarettes.
A Sergeant happened to be in the area and spotted one man who matched the description and he was held until he was identified as one of the suspects. Police also recovered a gun from the suspect.
The other three suspects left in a vehicle.
Arrested was a 17-year-old from Omaha. The young man was turned over to the Youth Detention Center on charges of Armed Robbery and Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony
Police hope to confirm details about the suspects later Sunday.
