There are many, many talented artists located in the North Platte area and if you want to see their work, there's only one place to go. For nearly a quarter of a century, the Art & Gift Gallery has been a hot spot for unique and original art.

Right now, there are ten talented artists that enjoy the opportunity to display, publicize and sell their artwork at the gallery right here in downtown North Platte.

Sandy Meyer is an artist that has been associated with the gallery for the past 20 years. She says the past 2 decades have flown by largely because of her interaction with her colleagues, "We have a lot of enjoyable people and I find for the most part people who do art are fun people, we like to have fun."

More than 50 artists over the past 25 years have collaborated to make the Art & Gift Gallery a must-see experience in downtown North Platte.

And one of those 50 artist is Sue Condon. She says being inspired by her fellow artists is a blast, "That's who generates my inside is sitting next to another artist watching her do what she does best. It's just contagious."

Sue say variety is the name of the game at the Art & Gift Gallery, "We have someone that does pine needle art, wood carvers, water colors, oils, pastels, there's everything here."

Each month, the gallery host an ever-changing show that's opened up for any artists.

In August, the theme is "Floral and still life," and coming up in September, the theme is "Rails Across America" to coincide with the annual Railfest Celebration in North Platte.
