Lawyers for three Nebraska landowners today gave testimony against the controversial Legislative Bill 1161.
Lawmakers passed the bill in Spring, 2012. The bill gave the governor the right to review and approve the pipeline route through Nebraska.
The landowners argue that this power lays with Legislature alone.
They say the state violated Nebraska's constitution by enacting the bill.
The state argues there has been no deprivation of life, liberty, or property.
The state says the case has no grounds.
There is no set date for the judge to make a decision, for now the plaintiffs just have to wait and see.
