Police: Four Men Wanted in Hit and Run, Assault Case

Lincoln police are searching for four men involved in a hit and run assault.

Police say around 4 a.m. Monday morning, a 44-year-old Lincoln man told a friend he would give him a ride to Wal-mart. When he picked him up, three other men joined.

The man told officers that the passengers began insulting him and he pulled into the U Stop on 27th and E Streets to call police.

The four men assaulted the victim in the parking lot and took his car keys.

Police say when the suspects tried to drive away, they ran over the victim, breaking his left leg.

Police found the vehicle unoccupied a short time later.
