DO YOU HAVE A TIP FOR POLICE?
Authorities are investigating a robbery of a convenience store in northeast Lincoln.
Police were called to Ken and Bev's Shop EZ store at 70th & Colfax about 10:40 p.m. Sunday.
Sergeant Steve Wiese said the robbery suspect entered the store with a knife and demanded cash from the clerk. When the clerk gave him the money, he fled.
Police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
The robber is described as being black, about 5' 5" tall with a muscular build and wearing all black clothes.
Police do have surveillance of the robbery and say the suspect may be taller than that.
According to Wiese, police have noticed an increase in robberies in the area. Police say they are investigating to see if this is the same suspect in two other knife-point convenience store robberies in September. Police say someone also robbed a Casey's at 40th and Adams September 3rd and a Casey's at 13th and E September 18th.
Police would like help from the public any time there is suspicious activity, simply by calling to report it.
Anyone with information on this robbery is asked to call Lincoln Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600
