Lincoln police are investigating a series of storage unit burglaries.
Officer Katie Flood said thieves are hitting different facilities all across town in the last 30 days. So far at least 43 units have been broken into at 10 different locations.
Thieves are cutting through fences, breaking gates and then cutting the locks on individual units. A variety of things have been stolen, but police say all of the thefts may be related.
So far more than $20,000 in items have been reported stolen and the thieves have caused more than $6,000 in damage.
Police are increasing patrols in the area of storage units and talking with owners to help prevent more crimes.
