Lincoln police are looking for suspects in two high dollar burglaries that happened Friday.

Officer Katie Flood said the burglaries were in southwest Lincoln during the day. The first was near 27th and Pine Lake where an 88-year-woman was in her basement when someone smashed a glass back door and stole $13,000 in cash and jewelry. Police say she didn't realize the thief was inside until they were gone.

The second happened near Folsom and West A Streets. No one was home at the time, but the back glass door was pried open and $23,000 in cash and jewelry were stolen.

Police are investigating whether or not they are related.
