Police Investigation Continues for Shots Fired Near UNL Campus

Police are investigating leads on shots fired in the Hawley neighborhood, just blocks away from UNL campus.
Officers were dispatched to the area of 24th and W Streets about 1:45 a.m. Tuesday.
Captain Michon Morrow said they received multiple calls reporting three or four shots.
According to Morrow, witnesses reported seeing an orange or red, 70's or 80's vintage, two-door car. The car was parked in an alley between 23rd and 24th and between Holdrege and Dudley Streets. The driver of the car was described as having short dark hair.
Morrow said two shotgun shell casings were found near where the car had been parked.
