A savvy convenience store clerk stops a robbery when she notices the suspect in not actually carrying a gun.
Police say a man walked on the Kwik Shop at First and Cornhusker just before three Wednesday morning and demanded money.
They say he threatened the clerk with something that looked like a gun wrapped in a green towel.
The clerk refused to give him money and pointed out that fact that his "gun" was actually a hand drill.
"She could see the cords hanging out as well as the drill bit. The suspect left without taking anything from the store," Officer Katie Flood said.
Police are looking for the man. They are unsure of his race or age, but describe him at 5'5", 145 pounds wearing a black shirt, mask gloves and jeans.
A witness saw him get into a dark colored four door Buick or GM.
