Lincoln police say they've reunited a toddler with her mother after the child was found wondering alone early Monday morning.
Police say just before 3 a.m. Monday, a young girl between the ages of 2 or 3 was found in the area near 17th and Washington.
Officer Katie Flood says around 7:15 a.m. police received a call from the girl's mother reporting her toddler was missing.
Officer Flood tells 10/11 it's not uncommon for kids in that age range to get curious in the night and wonder off.
Police have not said whether the woman will face charges in the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
