Lincoln Police are looking for four men they believe are responsible for a home invasion robbery late Friday afternoon.

The robbery happened just after 5 p.m. in an apartment complex on the 2500 block of Northwest 8th Street.

Captain David Beggs said four African-American men in their 20s broke into the apartment and struck a man inside before leaving on foot with a backpack.

Beggs said the suspects were last seen driving a green van that has been located by police, but no arrests have been made.

Alan Wilder lives above the victim and saw it all unfold.

"Two black guys ran out, one of the black guys told me that he stole from him, ran downstairs, grabbed the backpack and bailed," said Wilder. "I did see down by the door there was a scuffle. There were some blood marks and some dents in the wall."

The victim suffered multiple cuts and was later transported to a local hospital.

Beggs said police are continuing to investigate the robbery and may know the identities of the men involved, but aren't sure if the the victim and the suspects know each other.

If you have any information you are urged to call Crimestoppers at (402) 475-3600.
