Police Warn of Pickpocketers

Police warn people to keep track of personal belongings when in public after victim was pickpocketed.

Just after midnight Saturday, Lincoln Police were called to the Fat Toad bar near 14th and O. The victim reported missing items from her purse.

According to Captain Jason Stille, the 24-year-old victim had refused to dance with the suspect. He turned to walk away when she felt a tug behind her. The suspect was lost in the crowd.

The victim discovered her passport had been stolen.

The suspect is described as a thin black male in his 20's, with dreadlocks, wearing an orange hooded shirt.

Police warn anyone with valuables to keep them secure and out of sight, unless necessary.
