Police Arrest Lincoln Man for Sexual Assault of a Child

Lincoln Police have arrested a man they say is responsible for the sexual assault of a 9-year-old girl.
According to Captain Michon Morrow, just after before 1:00 Wednesday morning, police contacted and arrested 27-year-old Jay Gilmore for third degree sexual assault of a child.
Morrow said Gilmore called police himself Wednesday morning concerning an incident which occurred at least three weeks ago.
Investigators are working to determine whether or not to charge Gilmore with a similar incident for which he is a suspect.
