LINCOLN, Neb. -- Leon's Gourmet Grocer, a popular Lincoln food mart dating back to the 1930's, was burglarized early Thursday morning.
The co-owner received a call from an alarm company around 3 a.m. that the alarm was going off. The man responded to his business near 33rd and South streets and found the front door had been smashed out.
Lincoln Police said cigarettes, two bottles of alcohol and a donation jar were taken. Surveillance video shows a black male between 30 and 40 years old going through the business. Police are working to obtain the images.
Police later received a call from the Turning Point Salon that their front door had been broken. However, nothing was taken.
