Lincoln, NE-- Two mom and pop shops are retiring: Murray's for Men of Stature and Kent's Mens Shoes.
If you're a man or buying gifts for one, this might be a good time to shop.
In a couple of months both shops are closing for good.
"I've done this for a long time and it's just time to do some other things that we just want to do, and I can't get them done working six days-a-week," said Kent Stadler, owner of Kent's Mens Shoes.
This leaves customers concerned.
Larry Warner has been shopping at Kent's for six years and said, "I never look anywhere else, this is the only place I come. I have to find another place...I have no idea [where], that's why I'm buying two or three pairs here."
Even though the stores will be gone, they hope to leave a legacy.
"I was someone that actually cared about them when they walked through the door as opposed caring how much they carried out in their sack. Hopefully that's my reputation," said Kevin Murray, owner of Murray's for Men of Stature.
Murray's For Men of Stature will close in December.
Kent's Mens Shoes approximate that it will close in four to six weeks.
