Lincoln is still in water conservation mode voluntarily, but could that be changing?
Just last week, Lincoln Mayor Chris Beutler asked residents to voluntarily conserve their water usage. He says the city is trying to get usage down to 65 million gallons a day.
Since then, the number has dropped, but not quite where city officials would like to see it. They say they are starting to consider imposing a mandatory conservation. They ask residents to continue doing their part to keep water usage to a minimum.
